Subject: Memories of Anna
I last saw Anna at Faith Baptist on Sunday evening, Oct. 24th. After the service I noticed her across the aisle. When visiting a new church it is comforting to see a familiar face. My husband, Kevin, and I were able to speak with Anna for a few minutes and meet her mom. Anna was warm and gracious and friendly as usual. I also remember her at Adat Yeshus, moreso at the previous location, cleaning up after the noshes in that large kitchen. She definitely had the gift of helps. In the services she would sit towards the front and listen intently to every word Michael Brown was saying. Anna was more than an example to me, she was a true inspiration. My heart breaks for her children and other family members. Anna and Kimiko are welcomed and loved in heaven and are still very loved and missed on earth.

Subject: The Best Neighbor
Anna was the sweetest, most kind woman Danny and I had ever met! And she was such a great neighbor! She was so friendly and always had a big smile on her face! Danny has been neighbors with Anna for 10 years and me for the last 5. We watched out for each other! Danny even decided not to put a fence up between our houses because he said it made Anna feel safer without it! She shared her amazing fruit with us from her fruit trees, which we frequently saw her and her adorable mother Kimiko picking and working in the garden! We would always apologize to Anna because our cats would love to just welcome themselves into her backyard, but she would always assure us that it was okay and that she liked them and would make sure they were okay! She was a wonderful, kind, loving and very special woman! There is no doubt that she and Kimiko are in the most wonderful place right now! And we promise to continue to keep and eye on her home and make sure it is safe! We will miss you so much Anna! Lots of love, Steph and Danny

Anna was always smiling and handing out tracts. I remember at Family Camp back in the 1990s that she was down at the local laundermat with a good friend of her’s, Elma Luna (also a tract warrior), talking to the ladies. She was “instant in season and out of season.” We both served in the choir together and she was a real encouragement to all of us. Praise the Lord she is with our Saviour, Jesus Christ, and enjoying His presence! We all look forward to seeing her and her mother again!

When a friend told me that Anna had died, I couldn’t place the face with the name. I attended a congregation with her several years back and had lost touch with her. When I saw her picture the memories came pouring back. What a beautiful, kind, and caring woman she was – what a saint. She was a warrior on God’s battlefield and her evangelism was an example for all of us to follow. I’ll see her in heaven. Thank you, Anna.

Anna was my family’s neighbor for many, many years. She was a kind and sweet lady who always took the time to stop and talk, making me feel as if speaking with me was the most important thing she had to do that day. I remember the care she took with her garden and how she would bring us fruit from her trees, especially sweet and delicious pomegranates. She was a very spiritual lady and her strong beliefs guided her time on this Earth. I am so sorry to hear of her passing; she will be greatly missed. Michael & Elizabeth, my thoughts are with you.

She always had a smile and was gentle and kind. I remember many times as it became later and later as I waited to be picked up from school. Anna refused to let me stay there alone, insisting on waiting with me until one of my parents arrived regardless of long it took. This was just one of the many ways that she looked after me. Sometimes I think I spent more time at her house than I did mine. I have many, many good memories of my time in the Koval household.

I knew Anna for only a short while, but she has left more of a mark on my life than some I’ve known for much longer. She embodied what I believe a true Christian should be..’to be Christ-like”. I am thankful to God for her life and how she shared it with so many, including my husband and I. Her quiet but bold spirit eluminated from her face and smile and how she lived her life. I pray that I, in some way before my life is over, can be more like Anna. My deepest condolences to her children and family. May God bless you and keep you!

The last time I saw her, she gave me a message almost from the Lord, to enjoy my time with the baby. She also told me about a nutrition book. She always helped out with a gentle and meek spirit. She was really a Godly woman! I know she is with the Lord right now! She was very close to Him!

Hearing the news about your mother Anna and your grandmother Kimiko we are very sad for your family; please accept our condolences. Everyone who loved them will miss them very much!! We grieve, but we are not grieving like the world who has no hope. Anna lived with a peace that passes understanding and with true joy (Which was reflected in that beautiful smile)!! We know that there is only more of the same awaiting those who put all their trust in the G-d of Israel and His Messiah Yeshua. We know there is a reward for those who serve with love in response to what He has done for us!! Our friend and sister in the Lord has left us with an amazing example of how anyone can wisely use their time in His service!! Let us who remain be encouraged by Anna’s example and heartily serve the Lord with joy like her!! We look forward to rejoicing with Anna and her dear mother again when we meet and never have to say goodbye.

Anna and I shared a birthday, February 24th. The years of our fellowship at adat y’shua were made more special by anna’s presence their. When she brought her mom on friday nights I was always reminded how important our loved ones are and was grateful for the special relationship they shared. Anna invited us to visit Faith Baptist Church several times and my wife Molly went. I resisted then and now several years later my children are playing sports with the school there and we have visited for services and bible studies. Her discernment was always very good and I believe it was because she chose to abide in her Lord. The spirit of Christ was exemplified by her words and her actions. My family will miss you very much. Love Chris, Molly and Family

We would like to express our heartfelt sympathy for Anna and Kimko. I met Anna at Messiah Baptist Church where she attended regularly. We became friends when she discussed with me some tracts that she wanted to hand out in the neighborhood. With approval I began printing our Church name, address and directions on the tracts provided By Anna. I also had a chance to meet her Mother on a few occasions. We used to talk about Jesus Christ and heaven. She mentioned that delivering tracts to homes was what God wanted her to do. She gave out more than 18,000 over the last 10 months. Her and her mom used to go out daily. I am sure thats what they were doing that day. May the Lord bless the family and I know that I will see her again. She loved Jesus Christ.

Anna Koval was truly a saint. I am so shocked and saddened to hear how brutal her death was. She constantly gave to others. She was the type of person who, when she went to the store, would prayerfully think of someone else she could bless with groceries. Many times she would show up at my house with some fruit, and once with a case of Top Ramen. She helped people understand how to have a better diet. She prayed for people who had problems. When she came to breakfast, you could find her quickly in the kitchen cleaning everything. She was humble, always smiled, and showed respect to every person. She loved her children and prayed fervently for her parents. She served in church doing the jobs that no one else wanted to do. The carelessness of these drivers has caused a great loss in my life and in the lives of all who knew and loved her and her mom. She was an example of a servant-hearted person for me and for my children. We will always remember you Anna, and one day we will see that radiant smile in heaven.
